AUDITION INFORMATION
My Fair Lady
Produced and Directed by: Zina Bleck (
A classic Lerner and Lowe musical; Castaways' first!
Audition Dates: February 26 from 7:00pm, February 27 from 11:00am
Casting 22 people ages 16-60. Casting for both lead performers and
chorus. Bring a prepared piece not from the show.
Both seasoned actors and first timers are encouraged to audition.

The Meeting is a new original
play written by local playwright and actor,

Women:
Amy: 30’s, smart, flirty, takes no
crap. She has had a particularly rough road, which is one of the reasons
why she is so tough.
Trish: 30’s-50’s, kind and
supportive; is unsure about her ability to succeed in her new role.
Linda: 50’s+, the nurturer; led
outwardly normal life but everything isn’t what it appears
Danielle: 30’s-40's, a
loving single mother with a very hard shell; living with HIV; is not
voluntarily at the meeting
Karen: 30’s+; says it as she sees
it; also not voluntarily at meeting. Sarcastic, comic relief.
Men:
Pat: 40’s; seen it all;
level-headed, a leader
John: 50’s; a guy’s guy;
supportive; re-building the important relationships in his life.
Alex: 30’s-50’s; sensitive; of
the whole group, has the most stable relationship in the group.
Gary: 30’s-40’s; The Meeting is
his salvation; single parent coming to grips with his guilt, his wife’s
tragic death, and being a father to his son.
Craig: 30’s; the newcomer, the guy
you notice when he walks into the room and he knows it
Pastor Rick: 40+; the pastor of the church
where The Meeting is held; this is a real eye-opener for him.
We will also be looking for 4-5 non-speaking roles - ages 20's+. They will be integral to the show as well.
Both seasoned
actors and first timers are encouraged to audition.

Please arrive promptly at the start time of the
audition. You will complete the audition
forms and the team will photograph you.
After all of the forms are collected, actors will be selected for
various roles and given scripts of excerpts of the play that they will
familiarize themselves with out in the hall. The group will then perform the scene
for the director. Actors will be
assigned various roles and will be switched up in different groups to perform
different bits of the play.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A PERFORMER TO GET INVOLVED!!
We welcome all interested participants in our membership. Technically
experienced or willing to learn, we can hook you up! Interested in doing or
learning about design, stage management, directing, crew, front of house or
other areas of our organization? Interested in working on the technical side of
one of our productions this season? Please contact our membership chair.
We require newcomers cast in or working on our productions to join as members.
