Directions to ‘Mainstage’ theater at the Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Building:

The Ferlazzo Building is a two story brick building on the right side of the road.

From the North (DC, MD, N. Va)

  • Capital Beltway I-495 to Springfield VA exit
  • South on I-95 (Richmond) to Dale City/Rippon Landing exit 156, then left lane toward Rippon Landing to US Route 1/Rest Area
  • Exit to the (first) right sharply just after driving under the overpass (do not proceed straight to the Rest Area)
  • After exiting you will merge onto Dale Blvd (Rt 784 East) – you must merge left or you will be forced to take a right at the end of the lane.
  • Turn Right onto US Route 1 South (second light after exiting from 95 and merging onto Dale Blvd)
  • Turn Right at second light from Route 1 onto Cardinal Drive
  • Turn Left at the first light onto Donald Curtis Drive (sign overhead says Gov’t Center), Ferlazzo Building is on the right

From the South (Va)

  • North on I-95 to exit 156 toward State Route 784 East, toward Rippon Landing and US Route 1
  • After exiting you will merge onto Dale Blvd (Rt 784 East).
  • Turn Right onto US Route 1 South/Jerrerson Davis Hwy (second light after exiting from 95 and the merge onto Dale Blvd)
  • Turn Right at second light from Route 1 onto Cardinal Drive
  • Turn Left at the first light onto Donald Curtis Drive (sign overhead says Gov’t Center), Ferlazzo Building is on the right

From Dale City:
Take Dale Boulevard east to Route 1/Jefferson Davis Highway. Turn right on Jefferson Davis Highway. Turn right on Cardinal Drive at the second traffic light. Turn left on Donald Curtis Drive at the first traffic light.

VIA Interstate 66 (East or West) and VIA Route 234 By-Pass:
Take the Prince William Parkway/Route 234 By-Pass Exit #44 and continue south on the Prince William Parkway/Route 234 By-Pass to the intersection with Dumfries Road/Route 234. Go straight through the intersection to continue south on Dumfries Road/Route 234. Travel approximately 15 miles to Jefferson Davis Highway/Route 1. Turn left on Jefferson Davis Highway/Route 1 and travel north to Cardinal Drive. Turn left on Cardinal Drive. Turn left on Donald Curtis Drive at the first traffic light.

VIA Route 28 from the South:
Take Route 28 north towards the City of Manassas. Veer right onto the Prince William Parkway/Route 234 By-Pass going south. Continue south on the Prince William Parkway/Route 234 By-Pass approximately 3 miles to the intersection with Dumfries Road (Route 234). Go straight through the intersection to continue south on Dumfries Road/Route 234. Travel approximately 15 miles to Jefferson Davis Highway/Route 1. Turn left on Jefferson Davis Highway/Route 1 and travel north to Cardinal Drive. Turn left on Cardinal Drive. Turn left on Donald Curtis Drive at the first traffic light.

VIA Route 28 from the North:
Take Route 28 South towards the City of Manassas. Turn left on Liberia Avenue. Travel south on Liberia Avenue approximately 1.7 miles to the intersection with Prince William Parkway. Go straight through the intersection to remain on the Prince William Parkway south and continue to the intersection with Dumfries Road/Route 234. Turn left onto Dumfries Road/Route 234 and travel south approximately 15 miles to Jefferson Davis Highway/Route 1. Turn left on Jefferson Davis Highway/Route 1 and travel north to Cardinal Drive. Turn left on Cardinal Drive. Turn left on Donald Curtis Drive at the first traffic light.

 

Directions to the Locust Shade Park amphitheater:

From I-95 take the Joplin Road East exit toward Quantico, the Marine Corps Museum. Turn right (south) on US Route 1. Proceed past the Museum, then turn at the first right onto Locust Shade Drive. There is a brown “Locust Shade Park” sign just prior to the turn. Continue on Locust Shade Drive about 0.4 miles until ahead you see a flag pole. You will be at the 2nd or 3rd rights after leaving US 1. Take either right turn down into the parking area. Opposite the entrances in the center of the parking area, take the stairs up and down to the amphitheater bench seating. For handicapped parking, take the road to the right of the stairs from the parking area, down ajacent to the amphitheater building.
